The latest in the Fishman portable amplifier line up is the 2 channel Loudbox Min. 12 by 14 by 10 inches (approx ) rates this little guy as the most compact of Loudbox amps. The 20 lb mini cranks 60 watts of clean loudness through a 6-1/2 inch woofer and a 1 inch tweeter. The 10 degree angle on this good looking box will help to spread the love when your are gigging.
The legendary clean, balanced, transparent Fishman sound is made manifest through 2 channels. On the front panel is found 2 sets of controls, one each for the mike and the instrument inputs.There is a ¼ input jack on the instrument side. Immediately next to the input jack is a phase switch that according to the manual can boost bass at low volumes and suppress feedback at high volumes. After the phase switch are the gain, low, mid, and high knobs. These pots cut or boost the the designated operation. That is to say that when set to 12 o’clock they are off. Turn left to cut, turn right to boost. Keeps it simple. The next 2 knobs are reverb and chorus. 2 presets are controlled by the chorus. The mike channel has the XLR input, followed by the gain, low, high, reverb, and master controls. Last and least on the front panel is the power indicator light.
Around back there is a panel with an aux input jack and one for MP3s. Next to that is the Mix DI out put with which you can send a mix of both channels to the board or a slave amp. All in all the Fishman Loudbox Mini is an affordable compact acoustic sound system from a company that has kept its focus on just one thing. Amplified sound from heaven.
